Because 12-TET gets boring sometimes

When I first envisioned what this blog post was going to be, I had plans to make it a stereotypical blog post - microtonal music is x, here is why it is interesting, here is the history behind it, here is some mathematical explanation, etc. But then I realized . . . this is my website. I can do whatever I want.

808 Cowbell

The 808's cowbell circuit produces a sound with two tones at 540 Hz (C5+55 cents) and 800 Hz (G5+35 cents). These form an out-of-tune perfect fifth (6.80 semitones). [1]
